The whole fam damily just returned from a week in Hawaii where we shared eight days of calm/excitement, relaxation/exercise, moderation/gluttony, amusement/boredom. There was a marked lack of routine with excessive spontaneity between scheduled activities.
I enjoyed swimming, snorkeling, and short walks for exercise but yoga on the beach and hiking did not pan out. Whipped cream adorned my latte one morning while onion soup was my dinner after an exhausting day. There was much lolling around napping and reading, either on the lanai, at the pool, or on the beach. Family dinners and games filled in other times.
It was a great vacation. No one wanted to go home. And I refuse to feel guilty about the whipped cream!
