So many good intentions: daily stretching, lunges/leg exercises, pool exercises. Often at the end of the day I realize that I have forgotten to do any of them. Retirement, rather than conducive to routine is wont to result in lack of routine. After all, I have all day, right? Soon I am distracted by laundry, paper sorting, cleaning, job responsibilities.
Following the example of mothers everywhere, I am putting together a “chore chart”, in this case an exercise chart. The exercises themselves take little time so there is really no excuse except laziness or forgetfulness. How old was I when toothbrushing became a habit? I never forget to make the bed or get dressed. Brain training is called for.
I will let you know how it goes.
