Really? The printer won’t print?! It printed yesterday. And it is less than two years old, much younger than the phone that sat in its private vestibule in my childhood home. Google offers several sites to assist me in trouble shooting. Many hours later, the printer stubbornly refuses to print black text. And I just want to take a nap. Frustration is the word of the day as I massage my shoulders and try to relax my mind.
As a child of the 50s, I prefer to repair rather than replace. My personal experience is that many repairs of modern appliances are short-lived and result in replacement a few months later, canceling any monetary savings.
Tonight I hide in Norway, my writing shed, sloughing my anxiety through the words on the page and calming my body with a lovely Cabernet. I will post this online, bypassing the need for printing. Ha!! I got you, Technology!
I just hope the internet doesn’t shut down.
